Malaysian car sales rose 5.5% year-on-year in November, reaching 72,509 units. This increase was mainly driven by two factors: firstly, the expiration of Malaysia's import tax and consumption tax exemption policy at the end of December spurred a surge in sales of pure electric vehicles; and secondly, the boost from year-end promotional activities.
