Siemens acquires ASTER Technologies to strengthen its electronic systems design portfolio

Siemens recently announced the acquisition of ASTER Technologies, a privately held company that is a leading provider of test and verification and engineering software for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). This acquisition will integrate ASTER's advanced Design for Test (DFT) capabilities into Siemens' Xpedition™ and Valor™ software, creating a comprehensive portfolio of electronic system design products. This will provide customers with an integrated digital process from PCB design engineering to manufacturing, facilitating early defect detection, cost reduction, faster time-to-market, and improved product quality and reliability.
