Sunwoda Chairman Wang Wei denied that the company's batteries were defective, stating that the batteries used in the recalled Volvo EX30s were not directly supplied by Sunwoda. However, the cooperative relationship between Geely and Sunwoda appears to have fractured, as Geely previously filed a lawsuit against Sunwoda over battery issues, seeking 2.314 billion yuan in damages.
