Autoliv and Tensor team up to create a foldable steering wheel

Autoliv and Tensor have jointly developed the world's first foldable steering wheel, which will debut on the Tensor Robocar, an autonomous vehicle. This steering wheel can fold away in autonomous driving mode to free up space on the driver's side, while reverting to a traditional steering wheel for manual driving. The Tensor Robocar, equipped with this steering wheel, is expected to enter mass production in the second half of 2026.
