GAC Aion and Didi Chuxing collaborate on Robotaxi R2

The Robotaxi R2, jointly developed by GAC Aion and Didi Chuxing, was officially delivered at the GAC Aion factory on January 23. The first batch of vehicles has already obtained Guangzhou's intelligent connected vehicle road test license. The R2 is designed specifically for commercial operation, featuring unmanned operation, mass production capability, and commercial viability. It is equipped with 33 high-precision sensors and the industry's first mass-produced three-domain fusion computing brain, boasting a computing power exceeding 2000 TOPS. The vehicle also meets both Chinese and European five-star standards, ensuring safety and reliability. GAC Group and Didi Chuxing plan to conduct demonstration applications of the R2 in Guangzhou, Beijing, and other locations in 2026.
