Toyota recalls nearly 16,000 vehicles in the country due to a malfunction in its multimedia screen.

FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota recently announced a recall of nearly 16,000 vehicles in the Chinese market due to improper settings in the multimedia screen system control program. This could cause the screen to go black upon startup and remain unrecoverable, affecting the operation of the defrost and defog functions. Some RAV4 and Wildlander models affected by this recall will receive a free upgrade service starting January 23, 2026.
