SoftBank Group's wholly owned subsidiary, Saimemory, has partnered with Intel to commercialize its next-generation storage technology, Z-Angle Memory (ZAM). This technology aims to optimize traditional DRAM architecture to meet the demands of AI and high-performance computing. Prototypes are expected to be completed by fiscal year 2028, with commercialization planned for fiscal year 2029. Saimemory, founded in 2024, focuses on the research and development of next-generation storage technologies. SoftBank, as a key investor, will have priority supply rights upon product launch.
