At MWC 2026, Intel showcased its next-generation Xeon 6+ server processor, codenamed Clearwater Forest, based on the Intel 18A process, with an expected release in 2026. This processor employs a highly complex Chiplet design, consisting of 12 compute chips, 3 active base chips, and 2 I/O chips, forming a 2.5D and 3D hybrid packaging architecture. Each compute chip contains 6 modules, and each module integrates 4 Darkmont E-cores, resulting in a total of 288 CPU cores in a single processor.
