The journal Physical Intelligence (PI) recently published a new study called MEM (Multi-scale Embedded Memory), which aims to provide robots with memory capabilities, enabling them to perform tasks over longer periods. MEM systems consist of short-term visual memory and long-term verbal memory, helping robots maintain continuity and avoid repetitive errors while performing tasks. In practical applications, the π0.6 model equipped with MEM performed exceptionally well, particularly in long-range tasks such as making sandwiches and cleaning the kitchen.
