Renesas Launches Industry's First 3nm Automotive-Grade Multi-Domain SoC

Renesas Electronics recently announced the R-Car Gen 5 X5H, the industry's first automotive-grade multi-domain system-on-chip (SoC) using a 3nm process. This SoC integrates 32 Arm Cortex-A720AE cores, boasts an AI computing power of up to 400 TOPS, and can simultaneously process input from eight high-resolution cameras and output to eight 8K2K displays. It supports multi-domain fusion functions such as ADAS, infotainment systems (IVI), and gateways.
