Renault CEO criticizes over-development of PHEV models

At the Geneva Motor Show, Renault CEO Luca de Meo criticized some automakers for "tactical miscalculations" in investing too much R&D effort in PHEV models. He argued that this "dual-system" approach significantly increases vehicle weight and adds complexity to manufacturing and maintenance.
