Qin Dong, head of Li Auto's chip department, has resigned.

Qin Dong, former head of the ASIC department at Biren Technology, joined Li Auto in 2023, responsible for the chip SoC department, but has since left to join a startup. Qin Dong's departure has led to the departure of several senior personnel under his leadership. Li Auto is currently pushing forward the development of a high-performance autonomous driving SoC chip, with Qin Dong's team responsible for its intelligent driving SoC development. Li Auto has successfully developed a 5-nanometer automotive-grade chip—Mach 100—and plans to achieve tape-out in May 2025, debuting it in the Li Auto L9 model.
