Vietnam's new car sales in February 2026 decreased by 9% year-on-year.

According to data released by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), new car sales in Vietnam reached 15,665 units in February 2026, a 9% decrease year-on-year and a reduction of 1,516 units compared to 17,181 units in the same period of 2025. The main reason for the sales decline is that the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026 falls in February, resulting in a significant reduction in the actual number of sales days that month.
