According to sources familiar with the matter, Meta is planning a new round of layoffs, potentially affecting 20% ​​or more of the company's total workforce. As of December 31, 2025, Meta has nearly 79,000 employees worldwide, meaning this round of layoffs could affect over 15,000 people. This would be Meta's largest reduction in personnel since its "Year of Efficiency" restructuring from the end of 2022 to the beginning of 2023.
