Great Wall Motors' localization strategy in South Africa is progressing steadily. Despite its failed bid for a Nissan factory, Great Wall Motors has not given up and is now in talks with Mercedes-Benz. Simultaneously, Great Wall Motors is also considering contract manufacturing or acquisitions for localized production.
