Skoda announces its withdrawal from the Chinese market

Skoda, a brand under the Volkswagen Group, plans to withdraw from the Chinese market by mid-2026. Skoda once reached a peak of 300,000 annual sales in China, but sales plummeted to 15,000 units in 2025. Skoda stated that the reason for its withdrawal is its failure to keep pace with the electrification transformation of the Chinese market.
