CATL and Changan Automobile join forces to build a power battery production base

CATL and Changan Automobile have jointly invested 5.5 billion yuan to build a power battery production base in the Gaozhu New Area of ​​Sichuan-Chongqing. The base covers approximately 1,000 mu (about 67 hectares) and is one of the first batch of major municipal-level industrial projects in the Chongqing area of ​​the Gaozhu New Area. The project plans to produce approximately 25 GWh of power batteries annually, corresponding to a battery production capacity of approximately 400,000 vehicles.
