Lithium carbonate prices rebounded sharply

Entering 2026, the price of lithium carbonate has rebounded sharply from a low of about 75,000 yuan/ton last year to about 160,000 yuan/ton currently, an increase of more than 100%; the supply of automotive-grade memory chips remains tight. Cost pressures are being passed down through the industry chain, prompting more than ten new energy vehicle companies to announce price increases or reductions in end-user discounts.
