Xiaomi's battery strategy has finally been revealed with the establishment of Beijing Xiaomi Jingxu Technology Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 10 million yuan and a business scope including battery manufacturing. This marks a significant step in Xiaomi's self-sufficiency plan for its automotive "three-electric" systems (battery, motor, and electronic control). Xiaomi's automotive battery R&D team comprises over 220 people and has submitted 486 battery system patents, of which 190 have been approved. Xiaomi already possesses substantial capabilities in battery manufacturing, and the establishment of this new company signifies the completion of a closed loop from R&D to manufacturing.
