ITC terminates Ouster's patent infringement investigation into Hesai Technology

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has terminated Ouster's patent infringement investigation against Hesai Technology. Hesai Technology stated that its lidar products were independently developed and did not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. Ouster had violated the patent cross-licensing agreement previously signed with Hesai, and the termination of this lawsuit proved that Hesai's motion had sufficient legal basis. Hesai occupies a leading position in the L4 autonomous driving lidar market with a market share of 67%.
