LiDAR Technology Analysis

LiDAR is divided into three types: mechanical, semi-solid and solid. Mechanical LiDAR can achieve 360° scanning by rotation, which is suitable for Robotaxi testing. Semi-solid LiDAR includes one-dimensional scanning and two-dimensional scanning, such as MEMS and two-dimensional rotating mirror, which are suitable for mass-produced vehicles. Solid-state LiDAR has no moving parts, such as OPA and Flash, which is suitable for automotive-grade mass production.
