OmniVision Group recently launched the OAX4600, an artificial intelligence application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) designed for the automotive industry. The chip can provide seamless power for the driver/occupant monitoring system (DMS/OMS). OAX4600 has two NPUs and 2Gb embedded DDR3 memory, and supports RGB-IR image processing. The product has high performance, low power consumption and small size, meets the ASIL B functional safety standard, and is expected to provide samples in the third quarter of 2022.
