OmniVision Technologies Launches 40-Megapixel Smartphone Image Sensor with Advanced Features and Superior Performance

OmniVision Technologies recently launched the OV40A image sensor ahead of the International Consumer Electronics Show. This 40-megapixel, 1.0-micron pixel size sensor uses ultra-high gain and noise reduction technology to provide excellent imaging in low-light environments. In addition, it supports a variety of HDR options to capture high-quality still images and videos. The OV40A also has 1080p slow-motion and high-speed video capture capabilities at 240fps, as well as phase detection autofocus.
