Challenges and opportunities in the development of vehicle-road collaboration

Recently, the Ministry of Transport reported the progress of the construction of external backbone network channels and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration at the construction site of the Xiong'an New Area Expressway. The expressway network of Xiong'an New Area includes the Beijing-Xiongan Expressway, among which the Beijing-Xiongan Expressway has a dedicated smart driving lane that supports autonomous driving. These expressways use Beidou high-precision positioning, narrowband Internet of Things and other technologies to provide services such as vehicle-road collaboration. The entire section of the new line of Rongwu Expressway is equipped with a digital perception system and roadside intelligent units to provide data support for vehicle-road collaboration.
