MIDA cooperates with ams and OSRAM

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) has signed a cooperation agreement with ams Osram to support the latter in establishing an 8-inch micro LED wafer manufacturing plant in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia. This move will provide more employment opportunities for local researchers and promote wafer design, development and manufacturing. ams Osram has been operating in Malaysia for more than 50 years and has manufacturing bases, R&D centers and other businesses.
