ams OSRAM releases TARA2000-AUT-SAFE VCSEL emitter series

ams OSRAM has launched the TARA2000-AUT-SAFE VCSEL emitter series, designed for automotive in-cabin sensing. The series has a unique interlock circuit to ensure eye safety while reducing costs. The 940nm emitter is available in two versions, one for driver monitoring and the other for cabin monitoring. A top ten global automaker has selected this new product, which is expected to be available in volume from 2024.
