Valeo and BMW Group join forces to advance autonomous driving technology

Valeo and the BMW Group announced that they will cooperate in the field of autonomous driving. Valeo will provide advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) domain controllers, sensors and parking software for BMW's "Neue Klasse" electric vehicle platform to be launched in 2025. This ADAS domain controller will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC chip, which will be responsible for handling all functions of the driver assistance system. In addition, Valeo will also provide BMW with a new generation of ultrasonic sensors, a full set of surround view cameras and multi-function interior cameras to improve safety and user experience.
