Microchip Technology acquires VSI Co. Ltd.

Microchip Technology Inc. has completed the acquisition of VSI Co. Ltd., an industry pioneer in high-speed asymmetric camera, sensor and display connectivity technology. This move will bring VSI's professional technical team, market influence and ASA Motion Link technology and products to Microchip's connected car product portfolio. The market size of automotive radar, camera and lidar modules is expected to more than double to $27 billion from 2022 to 2028. ASA has more than 145 members, including BMW, GM, Ford, Stellantis and Hyundai-Kia Motors.
