Pony.ai joins hands with Toyota and GAC Toyota to establish a joint venture

Pony.ai has signed a cooperation agreement with Toyota China and GAC Toyota to jointly establish a joint venture company to support the pre-installation mass production and large-scale deployment of autonomous taxis (Robotaxi). The joint venture company will be established this year with an estimated investment of over RMB 1 billion. The company will use the Toyota pure electric vehicle platform produced by GAC Toyota and will be equipped with Pony.ai's autonomous driving system and Toyota's fully unmanned autonomous vehicle redundant system.
