Pony.ai releases next-generation L4 automotive-grade autonomous driving system design

Pony.ai recently announced the design of its sixth-generation autonomous driving system, which is designed for L4 automotive-grade mass production. The system will be road tested on Toyota S-AM models in 2022 and put into daily Robotaxi operation in the first half of 2023. The new system uses solid-state laser radar with a total of 23 sensors, and is equipped with a self-developed automotive-grade L4 autonomous driving computing unit, using NVIDIA DRIVE Orin SoC chip.
