Autoliv and BASF collaborate to launch innovative PU foaming technology

At the 2024 Shanghai International Rubber and Plastics Exhibition, Autoliv China and BASF China jointly demonstrated a new generation of "design-recycled" polyurethane (PU) foaming technology. The technology aims to simplify and expand the recycling scope of PU foam and use recycled materials for reproduction. The two parties jointly demonstrated a steering wheel made with "design-recycled" foaming technology containing recycled components. Autoliv is committed to practicing sustainable development and innovation in the automotive industry, and jointly promotes the transformation of the polyurethane value chain with BASF.
