Stellantis and LG Energy Solution jointly invest $5 billion to build Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant

Stellantis Group and LG Energy Solution announced that the two parties will jointly invest more than 5 billion Canadian dollars to build the first large-scale electric vehicle battery production plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The plant is expected to be put into operation in 2024, with an annual production capacity of more than 45GWh and create approximately 2,500 new jobs. This move marks an important step for Canada in the field of electric vehicle battery production.
