Effect of positive gate drive voltage on power semiconductor performance

The positive gate voltage can reduce the conduction loss and turn-on loss of MOSFET and IGBT, but may affect the short-circuit withstand capability. For 1200V IGBT, 15V drive is recommended; for 1200V SiC MOSFET, 18V drive is recommended.
