STMicroelectronics accelerates 8-inch silicon carbide wafer upgrade

STMicroelectronics is optimistic about the commercial prospects of third-generation semiconductors and is accelerating the upgrade of 8-inch silicon carbide wafers. The company plans to achieve sales of silicon carbide products of US$1 billion in 2024 and invest US$3.4-3.6 billion to increase production capacity.
