Sensata Technologies Launches Next-Generation Pedal Force Sensor for Braking Systems

Sensata Technologies' latest brake pedal force sensor is designed for electromechanical brake systems (EMB) to improve the braking performance and safety of vehicles. The sensor uses advanced glass micro-fused silicon strain gauge (MSG) technology to accurately and quickly capture the driver's braking intention, thereby shortening the braking response time and reducing the stopping distance. In addition, it can detect mechanical faults such as pedal sticking and meets ASIL C functional safety requirements.
