China Automotive Research Institute successfully completed the first extreme fire test of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in China

In response to the risk of fire accidents involving hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, China Automotive Research Institute conducted the first on-board hydrogen system fire test in China under real fire on November 8, 2022. The results showed that the safety measures of the on-board hydrogen system were effective. On December 27, 2023, China Automotive Research Institute, Deep Blue Auto and China Academy of Building Research completed the first domestic hydrogen fuel cell vehicle extreme fire test, evaluating the fire safety reliability of hydrogen energy vehicles.
