Tianqi Lithium plans to restart second phase of Kwinana plant in Australia

Tianqi Lithium announced plans to restart the Phase II project of the Kwinana plant in Australia, which will add 24,000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide production capacity. Currently, the Phase I project of Kwinana, with an annual output of 24,000 tons of lithium hydroxide products, has been certified by customers and will start shipping in 2024. It is currently in the capacity ramp-up stage. The Phase II project is expected to complete front-end engineering design in the second half of 2024.
