Renault retains Ampere, offers greater flexibility

Renault SA decided to keep its electric car and software unit Ampere rather than list it, a decision that provides more flexibility because Renault has enough money to push projects forward without having to tap the stock market. Chief Executive Luca de Meo said it was a pragmatic choice.
