Yichun City is known as the "Asian Lithium Capital". Its lithium carbonate production in 2023 reached 158,900 tons, accounting for 34.5% of the total domestic production. Yichun City has the largest lithium carbonate production capacity in the country. However, due to the upcoming arrival of the Central Environmental Protection Inspection Team, many lithium carbonate companies chose to suspend or reduce production to cope with environmental protection inspections, resulting in a continuous rise in domestic lithium carbonate prices after the Lantern Festival.
