Xiaomi Motors said that the SU7 brake failure was caused by the activation of the backup braking strategy due to software misidentification. During this process, the vehicle's main brake controller (DPB/BCP) and auxiliary brake controller (ESP/BCS) were involved in braking, but because the brake fluid was drawn from the DPB by ESP, the driver felt "insufficient force" when stepping on the pedal.
