Volvo Cars teams up with Breathe Battery Technologies to reduce electric vehicle charging times

Volvo Cars has announced a partnership with UK battery management software startup Breathe Battery Technologies to reduce the charging time of its electric vehicles by 30%. By integrating Breathe's technology into Volvo Cars' self-developed battery management platform, the company will improve the performance of its electric vehicle charging technology. Volvo said that Breathe's software can reduce the time to charge the battery from 10% to 80% by 30% while maintaining the same energy density and range. In addition, the optimization of charging time will cover the entire battery life cycle without affecting the battery health.
