Volkswagen brand to strengthen PHEV product lineup

The Volkswagen brand plans to increase its offering of plug-in hybrid vehicles to counter slowing demand for pure electric vehicles. Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer said that currently expanding the portfolio of plug-in hybrid vehicles is one of Volkswagen's top priorities.
