Stellantis and Mercedes-Benz postpone German battery plant start-up to 2026

It is reported that due to increased costs, the production time of Stellantis and Mercedes-Benz's battery factory in Kaiserslautern, Germany will be postponed from the originally planned 2025 to 2026. The factory is part of ACC, a battery company jointly held by Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz and Total Energy subsidiary Saft, and plans to produce 40GWh of batteries annually.
