TE Connectivity establishes advanced manufacturing base in Nantong

TE Connectivity's (TE) automotive business unit has established its sixth advanced manufacturing base in Nantong, China, with a total investment of US$150 million. The base covers an area of ​​approximately 36,000 square meters and focuses on the production of high-voltage connectors and high-speed and high-frequency data connectors for new energy vehicles. Nantong government officials and corporate representatives attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Since entering the Chinese market, TE has been committed to localized production and innovation to meet the needs of the Chinese automotive market. The Nantong base is expected to start trial production in 2025, with an annual production capacity of approximately 3.576 billion pieces.
