BYD battery supply chain analysis

BYD's battery supply chain includes several key links, such as positive electrode, negative electrode, diaphragm, electrolyte and auxiliary materials. In the positive electrode link, the main partners are Hunan Yuneng, Hubei Wanrun and Defang Nano, which are leading manufacturers of positive electrode materials. BYD also produces some lithium iron phosphate. In terms of negative electrode materials, BYD cooperates with BYD, Zhongke Electric and Xiangfenghua, mainly using artificial graphite, and also using some natural graphite. In the diaphragm link, Xingyuan Materials, Sinoma Technology and Enjie Co., Ltd. are its main suppliers. The products are mainly dry-process diaphragms, and some use wet-process diaphragms. In the electrolyte link, BYD purchases raw materials and formulates its own formula. Its lithium hexafluorophosphate suppliers include Dofluoro, Tianji Co., Ltd. and Yan'an Bicon, and additive suppliers include Huasheng Lithium Battery, Aoke Co., Ltd. and Xinzhoubang (Hankang Chemical). As for the auxiliary materials link, BYD's cooperative suppliers include Nord Holdings, Jiayuan Technology and Zhongyi Technology in the copper foil field, Dingsheng New Materials in the aluminum foil field, Kedali in the structural parts field, Zijiang Enterprise in the aluminum-plastic film field, Dow Technology in the conductive agent field, Dongyue Group in the adhesive field, and Hesheng Holdings and Xiangxin Technology in the box field.
