Renesas Electronics acquires PCB design software giant Altium

Renesas Electronics announced the acquisition of PCB design software supplier Altium to enhance its electronic system design user experience and innovation at the system level. The two parties will work together to build an integrated, open electronic system design and lifecycle management platform to enable collaboration across component, subsystem and system-level designs.
