Tesla's Shanghai factory sales fell in May, and the Chinese market is highly competitive

According to the China Passenger Car Association, Tesla's Shanghai factory shipped 72,573 vehicles in May, down 6.6% year-on-year. Despite a 17% month-on-month increase, Tesla faces challenges in gaining market share in China compared with local automakers such as BYD, NIO, Xpeng and Ideal.
