Tata Group considers listing its lithium battery business

Tata Group is exploring the spin-off and listing of its lithium battery business Agratas to enhance its competitiveness in the fields of renewable energy and electric vehicles. It is reported that the company is in preliminary discussions and plans to spin off the battery business as an independent department. Once the spin-off is successful, Agratas will be independently listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in India, with an estimated market value of between US$5 billion and US$10 billion. Agratas already has factories in India and the UK.
