European electric car market sales fall for four consecutive months

According to the latest data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, electric vehicle sales in Europe fell for the fourth consecutive month in August this year. Luca de Meo, chairman of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) and CEO of Renault Group, recently said that due to the decline in electric vehicle penetration, automakers may face fines of up to 15 billion euros for exceeding carbon emissions and failing to meet the EU's 2025 emission targets.
