Dongfeng Infiniti announced the recall of 40,730 Q50L vehicles from the 2016-2018 model years, 8,392 QX50 vehicles from the 2016-2017 model years, and 11,729 QX50 vehicles from the 2018 model years, totaling 60,851 vehicles. The reason for the recall is that the passenger seat occupancy sensor may be damaged, causing the occupant classification system (OCS) to malfunction, affecting the normal deployment of the passenger airbag and increasing the risk of injury to the occupants. Dongfeng Infiniti will replace the improved OCS sensor for the affected vehicles free of charge.
